ATI-7 Honors Partner Farms Advancing Agricultural Training and Innovation

In Tagbilaran City, the Agricultural Training Institute – Regional Training Center VII (ATI-7) recognized nine Learning Sites for Agriculture (LSAs) that support training programs and the adoption of new farming technologies among local farmers and fishers.

Learning Sites for Agriculture serve as venues where farmers can receive hands-on training, observe technology demonstrations, and learn directly from fellow practitioners. These initiatives aim to improve farm productivity, enhance product quality, and increase farmers’ income.

The recognition ceremony was led by ATI-7 Officer-in-Charge Center Director Vianney T. Ojerio together with Partnerships and Accreditation Services Section Chief Merigine Otara.

Among the recognized learning sites in Bohol were Bakongkong Nature Park in Buenavista, 4H Club Island Green Project–SAOVESS in Calape, Treetopz Farm Escapade Diversified Farm Learning Site Inc. in Albuquerque, Don Alberto’s Rice Farm in Carmen, and Ballocas Family Farm and Joseph Agricultural Farm in Ubay.

Additional LSAs outside Bohol were also acknowledged, including Suba Integrated Eco Farm in Medellin, Cebu; Sustainable Energy and Enterprise Development for Communities (SEED4COM) in Talisay City, Cebu; and CAGRI Complex Learning Farm in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.

Ojerio emphasized that service and accountability remain central to the institute’s mission of strengthening the agriculture sector. He noted that dedication to public service is reflected in the commitment of ATI personnel and partners who continuously support farmers through training and extension services.

The event also recognized employees who have served the agency for many years, including those marking a decade in public service and contract-of-service staff contributing to various agricultural programs.

The activity concluded with a commitment-signing ceremony, reaffirming ATI-7’s pledge to provide responsive training and extension services that support the continued development of Philippine agriculture.
